Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data that you provide us with or personal data that is collected and processed by us when you are using UAB “Baltic Logistic Solutions” (hereinafter – BLS) website www.bls.lt (hereinafter – the Website).
BLS respects your privacy and protects your personal data that is provided by you or collected by us as stated in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains why we collect your personal data and how we use it.
The Website is designed for people over 14 years of age. Persons under the age of 14 can not provide any personal data through the Website.
Get the Offer
Your personal data (name, surname, e-mail address, and additional information, if provided) is used and processed for the purpose of providing an offer to you. Your personal data is used and processed on the basis of your consent which is expressed by filling in the form available in Section “Services” – “Contact us and get an offer” at the Website.
Candidates’ Personal Data
We process the personal data of candidates who submit their CVs directly to us by e-mail, through job portals or by using the application form available in the “Career” section of the Website (name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, residential address, CV and any additional information provided) in order to carry out recruitment for a position. We process such personal data on the basis of the consent expressed by submitting it to us for the purpose of seeking employment with BLS.
While screening and selecting candidates, we only process personal data that is related to qualification, professional skills and relevant qualities. We do not collect or process candidates’ sensitive personal data.
Client’s Self-Service system
We use and process your personal data (e-mail address, name, surname, login to the Client’s Self-Service system available at the Website, and your provided other information (if any), for the purpose of creation of your login to the Client’s Self-Service system available at the Website and its administration. We process this data on the basis of your consent, which is expressed by becoming our client and addressing to us for creation of login to the Client’s Self-Service system available at the Website. On the same basis we also process other data, which you provide to us through your use of the Client’s Self-Service system (the type, quantity, delivery and/or shipping address of the goods ordered and/or sold, the name and surname of the person responsible for picking and/or delivering the goods, their contact details, and your provided other information (if any). We process this data for the purpose of administering the orders you submit to us through the Client’s Self-Service system available at the Website.
Yard Management System
Partners ordering goods logistics services from BLS may use the Yard Management System to reserve a goods loading or unloading time, thereby ensuring smooth logistics processes, warehouse work planning, transport flow management and the security of property within the BLS territory. We use and process the driver data you provide (name, surname, telephone number, vehicle registration number, planned arrival time and any additional information provided) in order to properly administer contractual obligations and protect our property and the property of third parties. We process this data for the performance of a contract and on the basis of our legitimate interests.
Video and Audio Surveillance
Video surveillance is carried out within BLS premises and territory for the purpose of protecting BLS property and employees. Audio is also recorded together with video exclusively at the security post located at the entrance to the BLS territory, for the purposes of preventing, recording and investigating incidents. Video surveillance is carried out only in those areas of the BLS premises and territory where it is necessary to achieve the stated purposes. The scope of surveillance is determined so that areas where individuals reasonably expect a greater degree of privacy are not monitored.
Data Storage Period
We process and store your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.
Personal data received when you log in to and use the Client’s Self-Service system available on the Website and submit orders through it is stored for as long as your login remains active and you continue to submit orders through the system from time to time. Data related to each order submitted through the Client’s Self-Service system (the type and quantity of goods ordered and/or sold, collection and/or delivery address, the name, surname and contact details of the person responsible for collection and/or delivery, and any additional information provided) is stored for 1 year from submission of the relevant order, unless applicable law provides for a longer retention period (for example, where legislation governing the carriage of goods establishes a longer limitation period) or the parties separately agree otherwise. Your e-mail address, name, surname, telephone number, login data for the Client’s Self-Service system or the Yard Management System, and any additional information provided are stored for 1 year from your last login to the relevant system, unless applicable law provides for a longer retention period. If the parties terminate the agreement for the performance of which the Self-Service system is used, the login data is deleted immediately after termination of the agreement.
Personal data of the candidates is stored until selection of a candidate to a particular position is undergoing. After the recruitment process ends, we delete the CV, unless we have obtained the consent of the candidate to process his / her personal data for longer in order to offer a job position later. In this case the personal data of the candidate is stored for 2 years from the moment of the consent.
Personal data received for the purpose of getting the offer as described above in this Privacy Policy is retained for 5 year from the time when the last inquiry was submitted.
Video and audio recordings are retained for no longer than 3 months. They are automatically deleted by overwriting older recordings with new ones, except where a specific recording is necessary to investigate an incident, defend rights or legitimate interests, comply with legal requirements, or where applicable law prescribes a longer retention period for data required for an investigation. In such cases, the recording is retained until the relevant situation is resolved or the incident investigation is completed and, where necessary, until the end of related legal proceedings or the expiry of the longer statutory retention period.
Data Transfer
We may disclose your personal data for processing to third parties that help us administer our Website or the Yard Management System and safeguard the data held in them. Such parties may include database software providers, database administration service providers, cloud service providers and similar service providers. Your personal data may also be disclosed to public authorities or law-enforcement bodies, such as the police or supervisory authorities, but only upon request and only where required by applicable law or where necessary to protect our rights or ensure the safety of our customers, employees and resources.
The Consequences of Failure to Provide Personal Data
You have the right to refuse to provide us with your personal data. However, providing your personal data is essential for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. Therefore, in case you fail to provide your personal data, BLS may not be able to achieve the above mentioned purposes, i.e. to provide you with an offer, to create for you a login to the Client’s Self-Service system available at the Website, to administer the Client’s Self-Service system and your orders submitted to us through the system, and/or screen and select your candidacy to a particular job position at BLS.
Personal Data Protection
We apply security and processing requirements set out in the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.
BLS takes appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to ensure personal data protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage and against all other forms of unlawful processing.
Your Rights
You have these rights in relation to your personal data:
- to request that BLS would allow access to personal data and correct or delete it, or to limit the processing of data;
- the right to object to the data processing;
- the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (the right to data portability);
- the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
- the right to lodge a complaint to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (address: L. Sapiegos g. 17, Vilnius, e-mail: [email protected]).

Validity and Amendments
This Privacy Policy is valid after publication. In case we change this Privacy Policy, we will publish its updated version on our Website. The amendments and additions to the Privacy Policy come into force when they are published on our Website.
